“And Jesus cried out again with a loud voice, and yielded up His spirit. And behold, the veil of the temple was torn in two from top to bottom; and the earth shook and the rocks were split. My soul sings:
A thrill of hope, the weary world rejoices
For yonder breaks a new and glorious morn’
Fall on your knees, oh, hear the Angels’ voices
Oh, night divine, oh, night when Christ was born!
May your day be blessed with health of spirit and a longing for the Lord of lords and King of kings, for only He can satisfy your hunger and quench your thirst for righteousness and truth.
And we all have that need deep within us, aching, throbbing, calling out for healing, comfort, belonging, and home coming. Even if we don’t recognize it for what it is, its presence cannot be denied.
Embrace your need and let Jesus fill you and feed you and love you into wholeness. Give up yourself and become so much more than can ever be imagined outside of Christ.
For when you are in Christ Jesus, the whole of all is there too. You will hunger, but you will also be full. All paradoxes are answerable in Christ.
He is the Lion and the Lamb.
Scripture feeds the soul, and sharing it creates a love feast, find someone to share it with.
In Christ Jesus our Lord, while being simultaneously hungry and full, I can manage to no longer crave affirmation anywhere but in Him, and thus can have peace on earth.
Sojourning here in love with God; falling to my knees day by day in praise and astonishment of His gift of another day within His glorious creation.
